Our First Biking Bouquet Giveaway Day will be August 23rd, starting at 9a.m. We will start by having a bouquet-making session at Medical Lake City Center upstairs, (I’m hoping to work this out so we can meet at the park instead) for putting together a lot of wrapped flower bouquets to be handed out. We will load up our bike baskets, bags, and backpacks with bouquets to pedal around town. Or you may walk with a stroller or wagon to make deliveries. The goal is to pass out all the flowers to those you meet on the street, see working in their yards or enjoying time at the park. To have fun as you ride or walk with family and friends bringing smiles to faces you meet. To surprise and delight them, and wish them well. We will meet back at the center (or park)for refreshments and a time for sharing our experience. Any extra profits made will be donated to the Park and Rec Program for the parks and trails. The cost will be $5 a bouquet. So you can pay to give 1, 5, 10, 20 etc. If you can not attend you certainly can contribute funds to the event to help provide us with more flowers to share.

These events above will all be registered through the Medical Lake Rec. Program. Visit their website to register. Remember bus tours only hold 15 people so register early if you want a seat.

*** New this year, I’m calling the “Playful Pause For Rejuvenating Our Well-Being”. Playful Pause for short. In this gathering, it’s about slowing down, being present, and being open to the processes we will explore in creative play, for our healing. Some may be dealing with healing from grief, addictions, abuse, or physical healing from TBI, surgery recoveries or something else. This is a safe space for a few to gather together and focus on the simple joys of discovering delightful ways to express your creative side in the company of others who also want to experience improved well-being. We will create a variety of projects throughout the year. Some will use special paper, watercolors, string, nails and wood, dried flowers, fabric, pinecones, wire, beads, and more. I’m starting these gatherings off small, 4 people max per 2-hour session. For now, I will host this gathering in my home, the kitchen table will be our space to gather with a cup of tea in hand, a smile, and open hearts for healing. The next gathering will be March 29th, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. The cost is $25.
