2025 Class Offerings

2025 Classes are listed below.

Only paid participants may attend a class unless you get my permission to have a guest join you. Unless otherwise stated, classes are for adults only. Class fees are non-refundable, and your space is not reserved until payment is received. If you are unable to attend a class for any reason, please call the studio to let us know if you are giving your spot to another person or wish to reschedule your participation to another class. If floral materials have already been purchased for the class at the time you notify us of your cancellation, then that portion of the fee you paid will not be applied to a future class. I only allow for one class to be rescheduled without a rescheduling fee of $20. Please use the form below to request information or a registration invoice for any of the classes listed.

Flower Classes With Sue

I invite you to join me in learning a variety of techniques for creating lovely, fresh flower displays for your home. You will learn to make several different mechanics, see some sustainable options over flower foam that are available, be provided a resource list and design two arrangements to take with you. For all flower lovers of all skill levels. Offered on May 31st and June 28th, both classes 1 pm-4 pm. $75 Class will be held at the Maker’s Apothecary/Greencastle Soap Shop at 6401 E. Sprague Ave., Spokane Valley between the Zips and Liquidation Carpet Barn.

With the Medical Lake Rec. Program I will be offering the following activities:

1. June 6th, leaving the City Hall at9:30 a.m. This Farm tour is to a peony farm up north in the Colbert, WA area. Angela with My Favorite Flowers and More will be sharing a wealth of knowledge on peony varieties, how to plant and care for them, when to harvest, and how to winterize your plants. Visit her website at www.myfavoriteflowersandmore.com/shop On our way back through Spokane we will stop at Ritter’s Garden Center to do some shopping or simply browse their beautiful displays and greenhouses. Bring your lunch, snacks, and beverages to enjoy on the bus ride. Cost is $20 a person.

2. July 30th leaving at 9a.m for a “Berry-Fun” day! We will first enjoy a “berry delicious” breakfast at Billie’s Diner learning more about their focus on farms first and how they support our local farmers. Then we will make our way up north to Piper’s Blueberry Farm to learn about blueberries and experience the joys of picking our berries to bring home. Bring an extra snack and your water bottle if you like. The cost is $20 plus you will be responsible for purchasing your breakfast and paying for the berries you pick.

3. August 27th, leaving at 9:30 a.m. for Designing Day in the Dahlias at Tall Grass Farms, starting off learning all things dahlias from farmer Nicki, then walking the fields, picking your own flowers for a special designing class that will take place there in the fields. Sue will guide you through the designing process and all materials, tools, and supplies provided. You will be taking home a gorgeous centerpiece for your table. The cost is $30 Be sure to wear appropriate shoes for walking in the fields.

4. October 8th, leaving at 12:30 p.m. to visit Wild Sage Farms Pumpkin Patch, select your favorite pumpkin to bring back to the Center to decorate with succulents and dried flowers. You’ll also learn about Heather’s amazing produce farm and how she helps provide produce for restaurants and her community. Bring your water bottle and a snack if you like, for back at the center. Cost is $30. All supplies and dried flowers and succulents will be provided for decorating.
